Major disappointment.
Ok so it was a Friday night, we didn't have a booking but got there relatively early and the place looked fairly empty. We were given the table at the front next to the door, it was the worst table in the place. I asked to sit somewhere different but was told they were fully booked. Hard to believe when there were only 2 other tables being used. Nonetheless, we sat and ordered. The menu was fine, a little pricey for basic Mexican food but whatever. Service was fairly poor, took forever to take our order, once we did order though food came quite quick probably the best part of the night, because all i wanted to do was eat and leave.
The food itself was quite tasty at first but I left feeling sick, it was rich I should have probably ate less. The $10 cocktail had hardly any alcohol in it to justify being $10, it was more like a mocktail.
On to the atmosphere. Probably the biggest downside to the place. The place looks better from the outside than it does on the inside. It was average and a little run down. Also, a word of advice to the staff. If you are going to bitch about customers as soon as the walk out the door, don't do it in front of other customers, it's poor taste and classless. Also, you need a dress code. I don't think that people with ripped up clothes paired with thongs and children without shoes is really sending the right message. This place really has potential but just kept digging themselves a bigger hole. Not to mention, due to our poorly positioned table and the fact that they allow the clientele to smoke right in front of the door we were constantly wafted with smoke. Not really want you want when you are trying to enjoy a meal.
